Raising money for Cruse Bereavement Support

“This year will be the five year anniversary since my two year old, James, died.

As a bereaved mum, life goes on but you always carry this weight with you.

As an energetic, determined and ambitious person, I thought – why not climb a mountain to test my resilience, remember my son and raise some money for a good cause.

Please help me!

In September 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa at 5895m). I’ll be travelling on my own to Tanzania and climbing with others who I have never met before.

Losing James shattered my world.

In the depths of grief, Cruse Bereavement Support were there to hold space for my pain, listen without judgement and gently help me begin to piece life back together. Their compassion and guidance inspired me so much that I trained as a bereavement counsellor myself, and now Volunteer with Cruse to support other grieving families navigating the darkest moments of their lives.

Cruse does truly life changing work. Every year they support tens of thousands of children, young people, and adults through trauma of losing someone they love. Their services are free, but the demand is growing every day and they can only continue with the generosity of people like you.

By sponsoring my climb, you’ll be helping Cruse continue to be there for every grieving person who needs them, giving them hope, support and a safe place to begin healing. This climb will push me to my limits physically (at 41) and emotionally, but every step I take will be for James and for all the families who need Cruse’ care in their own heartbreak.

Please donate if you can. You’ll be helping me reach the summit and you’ll be helping Cruse continue their incredible work.”

Together we can turn Grief into Hope

What is a Woodland Hammock Sound Bath Meditation?

A woodland hammock sound bath is a gentle and immersive meditation experience where you rest comfortably in a hammock while being bathed in sound.

As you lie back, the subtle movement of the hammock helps release physical tension, while the sound of crystal bowls, chimes and grounding instruments works to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind.

Held in a peaceful, hidden woodland setting in Pirbright Surrey, this outdoor nature meditation experience allows you to reconnect with nature while entering a deeply relaxed state.

What to expect during your session?

Your session begins with a gentle stroll along the Woodland Stillness Trail, with ponies grazing nearby and opportunities to pause, notice, and take in the peaceful surroundings as your body and mind begin to settle.

From here, you’ll wander to the hammocks, where the sounds of Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Singing Bowls, and other therapeutic instruments begin to drift through the woodland.

As you lie back, supported by the hammock beneath the trees, sound and stillness work together to calm the body and quiet the mind. The soothing vibrations invite you into a deeply restorative state, creating space to rest, reset, and simply be.

There are 10 hammock spaces and 6 reclining chairs for this Charity event

What to Bring?

Please wear comfortable layers suitable for being outdoors and bring anything that helps you feel cosy, such as socks or an extra blanket if you wish. The body temperature drops during the session as the body deeply relaxes so more layers are better than less!

Everything else will be prepared for you so that you can arrive and settle with ease.

The intention is to make the experience feel simple, welcoming and deeply nourishing from the moment you arrive.

What if it rains?

If it is raining you will be cocooned under the stretch tent where the sound of rain will blend into the soundscape

“Genuinely transformative. Total relaxation of mind and body. I cannot recommend highly enough. Could not stop smiling afterwards. Tracy is gentle, warm, sincere, welcoming and engaging. She offers a fabulous experience from beginning to end in a beautiful space. I was not expecting the sound bath to have quite such a calming, lifting effect on me. I am not your typical yoga bunny devotee but I can’t wait to do it again. Thank you Tracy, I’m all in!”

“Had a most wonderful sound bath experience with Tracey. She took so much care to prepare for the session, lead me through a wonderful meditation before the sound bath therapy began, which was quite beautiful. I would highly recommend, one of the most relaxing and moving experiences.”

Cathryn

“My daughter and I attended one of Tracy’s woodland sound bath events. We were made to feel so welcome, the meditation and soundbath were so relaxing and we both came away feeling extremely relaxed and centred. The location is easy to find, joining instructions were simple to follow. The woodland venue is beautiful with hammocks hanging in the trees and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. Highly recommend and we want to return for another”

“I am lucky to have had the experience of a sound bath in hammocks in the beautiful forested area of Tracy’s home. The session was well organised, wonderfully relaxing and restorative too. It was very easy to switch off and totally relax in this environment. I would definitely do this again – fabulous!”
